by 2
Contacts may be grouped under a new contact, which serves as a group contact (and generally doesn't have much in the way of info). Then, additional contacts may be related to the new one to establish group membership. This is similar to interest based LiveJournals, where the actual owner just consolidates several good content sources under a new journal.

Optionally, a new relationship type may be established, indicating the new group, but there are not currently options to display lists of relationships of specified type. Therefore, this method is not recommended, as the relationship types are supposed to supply functionally semantic organization, not grouping.

by 2
These options, in labDossier 1.1, are pulled from labCategories. Make sure that the labDossier lists are loaded in the labCategories admin config. Then you must go through the labDossier config and connect the switchboard to the corresponding labCategories entries. After each setting is configured, more will appear. Continue updating new fields in the switchboard until no more are displayed. Your labDossier installation is now ready to use.
